RFP NUMBER 08-227

DESIGN SERVICES FOR CHARLES PLACE WATERLINE PROJECT PHASE II

The City of Roswell is accepting sealed proposals from qualified firms to select a firm to perform professional design services for the Charles Place Waterline Project Phase II.

Sealed proposals will be received no later than 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the City of Roswell Purchasing Division, Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street Suite 130, Roswell, Georgia 30075, at which time the names of the Offerors will be publicly read aloud. Proposals received after the above date and time, or in any location other than the Purchasing Division, will not be considered.

There will be an Offerors conference Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM. This conference will be held in room 220 of Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA. 30075. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.

RFP documents and site photos may be obtained from the City of Roswell’s website at www.roswellgov.com. Click on Business and then Procurement Opportunities.

Proposers should note that this project is funded with Federal Community Development Block Grant Funds and prevailing wages as established by the Secretary of Labor shall be paid to all participating in this project. Labor standards, laws, regulations, wage decisions and required forms are included with all RFP documents for this project for review and use in preparation of this RFP. The successful vendor (as prime or general contractor) shall be responsible for the full compliance of all contractors, subcontractors and any lower-tier subcontractors with the labor standards provisions applicable to this project. Federal regulations including M/W/SBE, EEO, Conflict of Interest, Drug-Free Workplace, Davis Bacon Act (DBA), Copeland Act (Anti-Kickback act), Contact Work Hours Safety Standard Act (CW HSSA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Fair Housing Act (FHA) and others also apply to this project. The successful vendor must submit certifications that he/she will comply with these Federal Regulations.

DESIGN SERVICES FOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT/BUILD SUPPORT AND CONSENSUS FOR THE NORTHERN CONNECTOR

The City of Roswell is accepting sealed proposals from qualified firms to select a firm to perform professional engineering and design services for Project Development/Build Support and Consensus for the Northern Connector in the GA 400/Holcomb Bridge Road area.

Sealed proposals will be received no later than 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the City of Roswell Purchasing Division, Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street Suite 130, Roswell, Georgia 30075, at which time the names of the Offerors will be publicly read aloud. Proposals received after the above date and time, or in any location other than the Purchasing Division, will not be considered.

There will be an Offerors conference Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM. This conference will be held in room 220 of Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA. 30075. Attendance is not required, but highly recommended.

Interested firms MUST be pre-qualified by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and a current certificate must be submitted with the proposal verifying pre-qualification.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

RFP NUMBER 08-227A

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A COMPREHENSIVE FACILITY CONDITION ASSESSMENT

The City of Roswell is accepting sealed proposals from professional services firms (also referred to as the consultant) for a comprehensive facility condition assessment. This contract will require professional inspections of facilities as specified herein to produce an accurate analysis which identifies all components and elements requiring maintenance or a planned action. The deliverables include a complete updatable software database (Microsoft access or similar). Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: inventory, identification and documentation of current facility conditions; recommended corrections for all deficiencies, with cost estimates for such corrections, including possible life-cycle costs which implement sustainable practices; a plan and package of correction projects to maximize efficiencies and costs in the total correction projects; and a prioritization of the correction projects.
