On July 1, Alpharetta police were called to a residence in reference to a theft. When police arrived at the home, David Moore approached them. Moore explained that he had loaned his car to his niece. He further explained that two weeks prior, his niece had called him asking if she could have the title to the car. Moore asked his niece why she would need the title.
On June 26, two female co-workers who are also roommates got into a spat over a slammed front door. Sonja Williams told police that her roommate Karen Synder approached her about why she slammed the front door on the way to work. According to Williams, Synder started yelling and then pushed her in the face. Police then escorted Williams from Holiday Inn, where she was working, to her residence, where Synder was.
On June 18, Alpharetta police were called to the local Chuck E. Cheese in reference to a disturbance. When police arrived, they were approached by the manager of the store, who told them that a customer had become boisterous after a video game machine had malfunctioned.
On June 13, a Wal-Mart loss prevention officer stopped a female at the exit of the store because she was attempting to walk out with a stroller that she did not purchase. When the officer asked for a receipt showing she had purchased the stroller, the female could not supply one. The suspect’s child then pulled a receipt out of her pocket, which showed that the suspect had purchased a bag of M & M’s, but no stroller.
On June 4, an Immigration Custom Enforcement Special Agent and a Roswell Detective responded to an address at Jasmine Apartments in reference to possible drug activity. Upon arrival, the officers knocked on the door. After the knock, someone from the inside asked the guests to identify themselves. The officers responded, “It’s the Police.”
On June 1, Roswell police were called to Crystal Lounge because two patrons were allegedly drunk and belligerent. When the first officer arrived on the scene, he saw the two drunken patrons, identified as Angel Garcia and Alejandro Castro, leaving the establishment. The officer noticed that the pair was obviously drunk, and he advised them to take a cab home. Garcia disputed the officer’s observations and said that he was sober enough to drive.
On May 23, Facundo Alcantara was standing outside of a Rite Aid waiting for Roswell police to show because he had allegedly been robbed. When the police arrived, he told them that he had cashed a check for $5,000 only to see $4,500 of the money be stolen moments later by a female armed robber.
On May 17, an Alpharetta police officer was driving down Mansell Rd. when he noticed a black Scion failing to maintain its lane of travel. The officer decided to initiate a traffic stop, and as he approached the suspect vehicle, the driver stuck his arm out the window and flashed a Ft. Lauderdale police badge numbered 229.
On May 11, Alpharetta police were called to Mazzy’s sports bar on Alpharetta Highway in reference to an unruly customer. When police arrived, they found the suspect, Brad Brod, being held down by employees.
