Bring your favorite book to read to Apollo and earn a paw on Apollo’s Paws of Glory.
Reading to Apollo allows for a non-intimidating environment for children that may be self-conscious about reading in front of others.

“ESP 1908 Global Centennial Walk” sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Sisters in celebration of 100 years of service to all mankind.
The walk is set to begin at 11 a.m. at Rossie Brundage Park, Autry St. NW, Norcross and end at Thrasher Park, 1 Park Dr. NW, Norcross. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza at Roswell High School.
The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. with Clark King (Teen Roswell Rocks 2007 winners), Wichita performs at 5:30 p.m. and Banks & Shane perform at 7:30 p.m.
At dark, a beautiful 40-minute fireworks display will highlight the evening.
Concessions will be available and include Miller’s Ale House, cotton candy, snow cones and more.
Bring your chairs, blankets and picnics for an old fashion family outing.

“Martin’s Magical Musical Revue” presented by Wayne Martin Puppets at Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St.
This musical review features a variety of hand puppet and marionette characters such as Zealand Dog with his balancing bone, Reggie the unicycle riding bear, Baby Bernie’s big red balloon, Sherie Rene the wash lady and Slider Bullfrog the jazz playing trumpeter.
Show times are Monday - Thursday at 10 a.m., Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.
Admission is $5 Adults; $4 ages 2 and over. Payment by cash or check only.

30th Annual Possum Trot 10K and One Mile Fun Run at Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.
A certified 10K course for the Peachtree 2008/09. Run a flat, fast course along the beautiful Chattahoochee River.
The race begins and ends at the nature center, and all proceeds benefit operations for the center.
T-shirts and gift bags given to all runners. Bottled water, bagels & fruit provided by Whole Foods Market.
Fun Run begins at 7 a.m. and 10K begins at 7:30 a.m.
Entry fee is $22 in advance for the 10K and $15 for the Fun Run. $25 day of race.
