Riverside Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. - NOON at Riverside Park, 535 Riverside Dr., Roswell.


The market will concentrate on fresh, locally grown produce.  Non profit organizations will be selling coffee and refreshments, local chefs are slated to appear and other fun activities are scheduled.

May 31
1st Annual Agincourt Community Festival from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Agincourt Plaza at the corner of Kimball Bridge and Webb Bridge Rd. (11500 Webb Bridge Way).


The event focuses on health, safety and enrichment programs for the entire family.  The Fulton County Firehouse will be on hand to teach children how to safely exit a burning building as well as other safety issues.


The event will also include live entertainment, a DJ, games and information from various vendors.  Free and open to the public.

 

May 31
Night Hike from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. at Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.


The evening begins with a journey into STARLAB to view the constellations.  Then join a naturalist outdoors to see what happens at night at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.


Ages 5 & up.  Admission is $8 non-members and $6 members.


June 1

Holy Cow! Family Farmyard Grand Opening at 1140 Liberty Grove Rd., Alpharetta.


The farm sits on 131 acres in the heart of Alpharetta horse country.


Admission is $8 per person and includes a petting farm, hayride, art tables and entry to a polo match.  18 months and under are free.

Atlanta Ride for Kids Road Ride for The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.


The ride begins at North Point Mall in Alpharetta and ends at Lumpkin County High School.  


The leisurely ride is escorted by local and state police.  It will culminate with a Celebration of Life program featuring onstage interviews with local childhood brain tumor survivors and a special awards ceremony.


Registration begins at 7 a.m.  The ride leaves at 9:30 a.m.

Using books, finger-plays or crafts, the storytellers share stories about the natural world.

Flag Retirement Ceremony conducted by The Piedmont Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution at 11 a.m. at the Northside Chapel Crematory, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell.


The ceremony is a tribute to the service, memory and love of our country and the public is invited to attend.  The Piedmont Color Guard will participate in uniform.

Annual Alpharetta “June Singing” of the Sacred Harp beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Alpharetta Municipal Building, 2 South Main St.


This 130 year old event includes an informal network of people interested in singing from the Sacred Harp and other shape note books.


The haunting 4-part harmonies are sung in powerful, exuberant style, with singers seated in an open square.
