Bring a picnic, along with your lawn chairs and blankets, enjoy great music, play on the playgrounds, then settle in for movie fun as it gets dark.

Memorial Day Ceremony and Picnic at the Faces of War Memorial Site, Roswell City Hall.


Displays open to the public at 10 a.m.  The official program starts at 11 a.m. with Pledge of Allegiance.  Food tents open and the concert begins at 12:45 p.m.

The market will concentrate on fresh, locally grown produce.  Non profit organizations will be selling coffee and refreshments, local chefs are slated to appear and other fun activities are scheduled.

Night Hike from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. at Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.


The evening begins with a journey into STARLAB to view the constellations.  Then join a naturalist outdoors to see what happens at night at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.


Ages 5 & up.  Admission is $8 non-members and $6 members.

Holy Cow! Family Farmyard Grand Opening at 1140 Liberty Grove Rd., Alpharetta.


The farm sits on 131 acres in the heart of Alpharetta horse country.


Admission is $8 per person and includes a petting farm, hayride, art tables and entry to a polo match.  18 months and under are free.

Atlanta Ride for Kids Road Ride for The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.


The ride begins at North Point Mall in Alpharetta and ends at Lumpkin County High School.  


The leisurely ride is escorted by local and state police.  It will culminate with a Celebration of Life program featuring onstage interviews with local childhood brain tumor survivors and a special awards ceremony.


Registration begins at 7 a.m.  The ride leaves at 9:30 a.m.

OPPORTUNITY
Thinking about Welcoming an Exchange Student?  Now is the Time.


AFS, the leading international high school student exchange program, needs families in our community to host high school students from foreign countries for an academic year or six months.  Students arrive in August.


All kinds of families can host - two parent households with children, single parent families, as well as couples and single people who do not have children or who have grown children.


AFS students come from more then 40 countries.  Local AFS Volunteers enroll the students in high school and support students and their families to help both gain the most from their experience.

12th Annual Mayor’s Challenge Road Race starting at the Alpharetta City Pool at Wills Park.


A 5K & 10K Road Race begins at 7:15 a.m. and a One Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m.


A runner’s pancake breakfast will be provided at the finish line.


Proceeds from the race benefit the Alpharetta Rotary Club’s annual projects.


Pre-Registration is $15 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.  Race day fees are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.
