On April 25, a Roswell police officer traveled to Town Center Mall in response to a call about two young men smoking marijuana. Upon arrival at the mall, the officer spotted the two young men, Santonio Williams and Kaury Sickenger.
The officer asked the two men where they were coming from and they responded with contradicting answers. After smelling marijuana on both persons, the officer asked Williams to consent to a search of his person, which he did.
However, before the officer was able to finish searching Williams, Sickenger came clean and said, “Officer, honesty is the best policy, I have a marijuana pipe in my pocket.” Sickenger then explained that on top of the pipe, he also had marijuana hidden in his pants.
Sickenger then told the officer that, “You are giving me the wake-up call I need.” Sickenger went on to explain that from this point forward he was going to turn his life around and that he was done smoking marijuana. The sincere Sickenger was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Scary Encounter
A naked cowboy was in Roswell on April 23, but unlike the one in New York City, this one doesn’t sing or dance. Instead, this naked cowboy just creeped out a local jogger. Michelle Onorato was out for a daily jog on Bethany Rd. when she noticed a silver Honda in an upcoming driveway.
Onorato would later explain to the police that as she ran past the Honda, the suspect stepped out of the car wearing absolutely nothing except for a straw cowboy hat. Onorato also stated that she noticed the naked cowboy pleasuring himself. When asked to describe the cowboy, Onorato stated that the man was possibly shaved all over his body while having either average to above-average endowment.
Onorato also mentioned that the man was making a vulgar gesture by having his tongue wagging between two of his fingers that were in the form of a “V.” Although bewildered by the bizarre situation, Onorato continued her run. The Honda then proceeded to follow Onorato and the Cowboy kept making the lewd tongue and finger gesture that he had made earlier.
Onorato noticed that the Honda’s tags had been removed. The Honda then drove closer to Onorato and continued with the bawdy gestures. However, this time a truck came up behind the Honda, Onorato hurried to the truck to ask the driver if she could use his cell phone to the call the police. The driver of the truck, who happened to be Hispanic, didn’t understand a word Onorato was saying. As Onorato struggled to overcome the language barrier, the suspect drove off. Onorato then flagged down some local residents and called the cops using their phone. The naked cowboy was not apprehended.
