The City of Roswell’s Big Creek Park will be hosting the Big Creek Wetlands Walk-a-Thon and Festival on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is a fundraiser for Keep Roswell Beautiful.
Prizes will be awarded to the group who raises the most money in the following categories: Homeowner’s Association, School, Civic Organization and Individual. Walkers must raise a minimum of $25 to be eligible for prizes, including an honorary membership to Keep Roswell Beautiful.
Registration will be held at Northwood Elementary School field. All monies must be turned in by 11 a.m. on the day of the event.
A festival with food provided by Nirvana Café, face painting, games, animals from the Chattahoochee Nature Center and prizes will all be on hand for children of all ages.
The event is sponsored by GeoSyntec (title sponsor), EarthTech, AEC, Inc. and the City of Roswell. All proceeds from the event will benefit Keep Roswell Beautiful and their efforts to better educate citizens of Roswell on environmental issues.
