“Drawn In:  a macro photography celebration of flora and fauna” exhibit by local Roswell photographer Mim Eisenberg at Phoenix and Dragon Bookstore gallery, 5531 Roswell Rd., Atlanta.

April 12
Castaway Critters Pet Rescue Fundraiser from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Foster’s Grille, 12540 Broadwell Rd., in historic Crabapple.


There will be a book signing by Ansley Burnette ,author of “Frisco Finds a Forever Home,” and a jewelry sales.  All proceeds go to Castaway Critters.


A pet adoption day will be held in conjunction with the fundraiser.

The World’s Largest Pinwheel Party and Parade from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Kimberly-Clark campus, 1400 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Roswell.


The Child Development Association is partnering with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in hosting the party in celebration of their 40th Anniversary.


The event includes arts and crafts stations, refreshments and entertainment from The Shriners clowns and balloon artists.


If you have a pinwheel, bring it, or design one of your own with the help of Kimberly-Clark volunteers. The event is free and open to the public.

Alive After Five on Canton St. in downtown Roswell.


Enjoy the festivities from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. including live music, storefront merchants with specials for the evening, restaurants, galleries, arts and crafts.

Earth Day Kids Fest at Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.


Enjoy live music, make a frog terrarium, have your face painted, paddle a canoe and many more activities.


Festival admission is $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $3 Children.

Grand Opening of Woodland Garden Trail at Smith Plantation, 935 Alpharetta St., Roswell.


Smith Plantation will host a special ceremony from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. to officially open the trail.  The Master Gardeners will be on hand to familiarize visitors with the flora and fauna.  Enjoy lemonade as you walk the grounds.

Atlanta Jazz Party at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, 7 Concourse Pkwy., Atlanta.


World class musicians come together to play six sets of traditional jazz on Friday and Saturday nights and five sets on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  The sets are varied and songs are rarely repeated.  The sessions are in the casual, cabaret setting of the Grand Ballroom.
