At five years old, American Trust Bank, located on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, is the largest and oldest bank that is actually chartered in Roswell, GA. The bank has a sister branch in Cumming and is opening a third branch this spring on Highway 9 in Alpharetta. At $250 million in assets and growing, it is poised to become a financial leader on the Northside.

Hosting a “Lunch and Learn” for area business executives at its Roswell branch recently to roll at its new version of Remote Check Capture, CEO Doug Higgins said he was pleased with the bank’s growth thus far.

“Remote Check Capture has allowed us to serve more customers by removing geographical boundaries. The device, once installed, allows for checks to be deposited remotely and instantly from anywhere. We are using the second generation of its software and it is a truly seamless transition.”

Higgins said the new technology saves their customers time and money. “It gets you out of traffic. It allows you more time to focus on your business. Also, it takes deposits that are credited the same day right up until 6 p.m., helping cash flow.”

Executive Vice President Connie Pence said, “It’s like having a teller on your desk.”

The Entrepreneur’s Dream Bank
Higgins said that American Trust Bank’s mission is to serve small and medium size businesses, as well as consumers. “Our reason for existing is the small businessman and woman,” Higgins emphasized. “We take a personal approach to banking. We know your name, and we strive to understand your specific situation and needs. We truly care about each and every one of our customers.”
