NFRH has announced it will once again team with the Gerontology Institute at Georgia State University to offer the sixth annual health fair to those 50 and older.

The hospital will provide screenings, health information, physician seminars, hospital services information and speakers on various health topics, all free of charge.

The 50+ Health Expo will take place on Friday, February 29th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Alpharetta campus of Georgia State University. Some screenings being offered include cholesterol and glucose, blood pressure, posture and strength, vestibular and balance, pulmonary function and bone density. Fasting is recommended for the cholesterol and glucose screenings but is not required, and registration is required for some screenings.

In addition to the health screenings, attendees will also have the opportunity to hear a series of presentations given by several highly skilled physicians in the North Fulton area. Hear presentations on arthritis, back pain and joint replacement, and take advantage of the time to sit and speak with a family practice physician, a pharmacist and a clinical dietitian. Other free exhibits and information provided will include North Fulton Regional Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services, the Stroke Center and the Sleep Disorders Center.
