Team Chevy Donates Vehicle to Police
Team Chevy has made it a regular yearly event to give to the local police thanks to manager Chuck Hershiser. “We’re proud to be part of the community and to give something back to the community,” said Hershiser. Alpharetta Mayor Arthur Letchas was on hand to accept the gift on behalf of the city. Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation Awards On Thursday, September 27, the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation celebrated the efforts of special individuals within the community who had helped the Foundation. Among those honoured were several area businesses and persons, especially Debbie Wingate, the woman responsible for the event. To mark the occasion, a party was held in a fire station with many of the vehicles offered to Alpharetta Police and Fire Departments on display, including emergency response vehicles, a mobile command center, a hazardous materials unit and the DUI Taskforce’s night time patrol car, which is marked with different colors than a typical patrol car, making it harder to recognize at night. Letchas and several City Council members were in attendance to congratulate the recipients of the honors. DUI Arrests Jose M. Chavez, 33, of Roswell, was arrested September 18 on Holcomb Bridge Road for DUI. Laura L. Johnson, 50, of Norcross, was arrested September 20 on Bent Grass Drive for DUI and having a BAC of .08 or more. Sarah Marlies Atherton, 25, of Roswell, was arrested September 22 on Eves Road for DUI, driving without proof of insurance and failing to stop at a stop sign Carlos A. Argueta-Morales, 31, of Roswell, was arrested September 22 on Holcomb Bridge Road for following too closely behind a vehicle, DUI, driving without a license and a hit and run. Keith Albert Greco, 24, of Roswell, was arrested September 22 on Lake Charles Way for failure to maintain his lane and DUI. Kimberly Martin Burns, 45, of Roswell, was arrested September 24 on Holcomb Bridge Road for having a BAC of .08 or more, DUI, and following to closely behind a vehicle. Pedro Nava-Diaz, 22, of Roswell, was arrested September 23 on Norcross Street for DUI and having a BAC of .08 or more. Drug Arrests Trine Nicole Brown, 24, of Atlanta, was arrested September 17 on Old Dogwood Road for possession of heroin. Richard Charles Brown, 25, of Atlanta, was arrested September 17 on Old Dogwood Road for possession of heroin. Amanda Templeton, 21, of Roswell, was arrested September 17 on Westside Drive for possession of marijuana, growing marijuana and possession of firearms. Nicholas McLeod, 26, of Roswell, was arrested September 17 on Westside Drive for possession of marijuana, growing marijuana and possession of firearms. Oud Lee Brooks, 23, of Sandy Springs, was arrested September 17 on Alpharetta Highway for possession of marijuana. Ryan Joseph Simpson, 25, of Roswell, was arrested September 19 on Holcomb Bridge Road for possession of cocaine and having an outstanding warrant. Bryan Allaen Hartness, 28, of Macon, was arrested September 19 on Old Dogwood Road for possession of cocaine. Jerome Fryer Marvin, 42, of Roswell, was arrested September 20 on Hembree Road for possession of cocaine. Marcus Jermaine Jenkins, 42, of Roswell, was arrested September 20 on Hembree Road for possession of cocaine. Jared B. Ribbler, 20, of Alpharetta, was arrested September 22 on Holcomb Bridge Road for possession of marijuana. Robert James Peterson, 19, of Alpharetta, was arrested September 22 on Holcomb Bridge Road for possession of marijuana. |
